The safety and health of our employees, shoppers and community is the top priority of Parkway Plaza.
The safety and health of our guests, employees, and community is always our top priority. In compliance with orders and recommendations from the Governor of California and local health organizations, out of an abundance of caution to keep everyone as safe as possible, Parkway Plaza will be taking additional safety and sanitization precautions for the well-being of our community.
Guests will notice the installation of numerous hand sanitizer stations throughout the Center and increased cleaning procedures by our Housekeeping team. We will also offer complimentary disposable face-covering upon request to guests, and all Management, Public Safety, and Housekeeping staff will continue to wear a face covering. Along with center procedures, the individual stores, restaurants, and entertainment venues have adapted numerous safety protocols to allow the community to shop safely this holiday season.
We will provide updates on operations and a continued space for the community online. Please join us on social media by following us on Instagram @ParkwayPlaza For specific questions, please call 619.579.9932 or DM us on social media.
We are following guidelines and actions offered by the International Council of Shopping Centers, which continually monitors and updates information released by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).
Amid the global spread of the communicable virus, public health officials from the CDC urges everyone to practice healthy habits including:
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover when around others.
You could spread COVID-19 to others even if you do not feel sick.
Everyone should wear a cloth face cover when they have to go out in public, for example to the grocery store or to pick up other necessities.
Cloth face coverings should not be placed on young children under age 2, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the mask without assistance.
The cloth face cover is meant to protect other people in case you are infected.
Do NOT use a facemask meant for a healthcare worker.
Continue to keep about 6 feet between yourself and others. The cloth face cover is not a substitute for social distancing.
Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
Stay home from work if you are feeling sick.
Make accommodations for your employees to stay/work from home if they or their children are affected.
We will continue to monitor the data and recommendations from CDC, WHO(World Health Organization) and ICSC, and update our practices as needed.
By following the above protocols, we can all take an active role in helping to contain the spread of COVID-19 and work together to maintain a healthy environment for our community.
